Avatar PDMS is a hosted software as a service (SaaS) product. It is built on industry standard technologies & allows for upgrades & minor customizations to the product without compromising performance.
In addition to building the application on top of a flexible framework, we have designed gateways for easy data integration and information services. Avatar enables SAP, Peoplesoft, iMIS, and other backend HR systems integration as well as native support for LDAP, Active Directory, and e-Directory from Novell, making single sign-on easy.
Case Study: ETS & Alchemy partner
on TEA Teacher Certification
Educational Testing Services (ETS) selected Alchemy as it technology partner on the Texas Teacher Certification program. In the fall of 2006, Alchemy and ETS celebrated the launch of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) online teacher assessment and certification system. Alchemy adapted key portions of the Avatar Learning Platform to create the core technology for TEA's online exam registration system.

WeAreTeacher's and Alchemy have partnered to build a teacher network that leverages the Avatar Learning Platform to provide event management and content management capabilities for teachers that wish to offer personal services on the We Are Teachers network. Systems Integration & Data Migration
Alchemy will work with your team to integrate Avatar into an existing IT infrastructure and migrate your existing data into the Avatar platform. Avatar PDMS is built on a Web 2.0 foundation. With pre-existing interfaces for Active Directory and LDAP, Avatar can be easily integrated with an existing IT infrastructure with little to no impact.
In addition, Avatar has built-in APIs for interfacing with a number of large-scale ERP and HR systems. Getting data into and out of the system is a fundamental design element of the architecture.

Avatar PDMS is a full-service, hosted and managed application service. Alchemy hosts, manages, and supports the application from our hosting network, taking the burden off your IT department.
