Carolyn Lee is president of the Manufacturing Institute, the workforce development affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. Since 2017, she has led MI’s rapid national growth through initiatives like FAME USA and Heroes MAKE America. The MI is a trusted adviser to manufacturers, delivering solutions and knowledge of how to address critical workforce challenges and empowering individuals and communities. Raised in a manufacturing family, Lee is driven to expand pathways to opportunity and enhance U.S. competitiveness. She began her career on Capitol Hill and has held roles at the National Association of Manufacturers, 3M and the Telecommunications Industry Association.
